IAYP Child protection

It is the policy of The International Award for Young People India (IAYP), to safeguard the welfare of all young people and others involved in IAYP activities by ensuring that they are protected from physical, sexual and emotional harm.

The International Award for Young People India (IAYP) accepts and promotes that in all matters concerning child protection, the welfare and protection of the child is the paramount consideration.
The IAYP is committed to safeguarding young people and others involved in IAYP activities. Safeguarding is about planning and organising activities to prevent potential harm or damage to young people. Child Protection is concerned with protecting and/or removing a young person from physical, sexual and emotional abuse or neglect.

The International Award for Young People India (IAYP), Licensed Organisations and delivery partners have Safeguarding and Child Protection policies and procedures in place and all adult Leaders should be aware of and abide by these.

If you need further advice please email safeguarding@iayp.in

Given the scope and breadth of IAYP programmes young people may undertake activities that are not directly managed or organised by a IAYP group, centre or Licensed Organisation. In such cases parents and guardians of those under 18 are responsible for ensuring that the activity is safe and properly managed.
